We woke late. Breakfast was from 6.30 to 8 and we got put off our beds at 8! Thankfully we still managed to get some today and coffee and sit on the deck as Chris whisked us back to deep voice, pointing out hanging valleys, waterfalls, island and other features of note along the way, as he'd done for much of the previous day. There was always a story behind them or some extra little nugget of information.

We came back over the mountains to the power station and back on a boat to Manapouri, arriving about 1pm. Without a doubt the overnight cruise was the best tour/experience/trip I've done in NZ and I'd gladly do it again.

The drive to Queenstown took us until 3.30 or so. In the evening we wandered into town, had a beer at Atlas (craft beer bar), met Cathal's heavily pregnant cousin and her husband for food at world bar, followed by ice cream at Patagonia and a walk by the lake front.

Later we had a beer and played some pool at zephyr with an Australian fly we meet there who were over for a family reunion. Quite a chill day.
